Climate Science Breakthrough
Climate Science Breakthrough’s vision is to prototype different ways to communicate climate science, and scale up what works best to make a tangible and urgent difference.
The client wanted insights into the impact that the videos had on inspiring people to act, as well as detailed feedback on various aspects of the videos to learn from for the next iteration.
“What can we learn and improve on before filming the next videos?”
- Pre-task activity to complete in advance of the groups, which enabled participants to view the videos, rate them and provide open-ended feedback.
- Two focus groups with target audiences; one with The Times readers and one with The Guardian readers.
- Insight report and presentation of findings.
We delivered and presented an insight report that covered: cultural insights on pre-existing thoughts on climate science and climate action, detailed feedback on the reception of each of the videos, as well as our recommendations on moving forward based on the insights.
“We didn’t know Telltale, but they came recommended for their experience on environmental projects. They helped us research perceptions of our “Climate Science Translated” videos, which sounds uncontroversial, but was in fact a minefield, which they helped us step through with insight, integrity and intelligence. We hope to work with them again soon!”
