Oceanic Saunas are a second generation family run company who have been manufacturing Finnish and Infrared saunas and steam rooms in England for over 40 years.
Oceanic Saunas wanted to understand who their typical customers are, their purchase journey, as well as their purchase and product experiences. This would help improve their services, inform new product development, and a rebranding of the logo and website.
The project was kicked off with a workshop to refine the obejectives as well as develope some hypotheses. The research conducted spanned across three phases:
1. Quantitative survey to develop customer profiles
2. Interviews with user testing with 6 existing customers
3. Brand development testing with 6 prospective customers
The Oceanic Sauna team were provided with a report and presentation after each stage. A combined qual and quant report was created and presented as well as a customer journey infographic.
We approached Telltale Research as an initial step in our rebranding exercise in order to better understand our customer base and position in the market. The whole process was very smooth with clear and efficient communication throughout. Workshops were organised and presented online using tools such a Miro Board. The graphic presentation of the results of the qualitative and quantitative research into a customer journey map was most helpful when informing our brand design and strategy. We look forward to working together again as we progress into the UX design phase.
